The fact of learning economics at higher institutions for lao students during the pandemics covid-19 in lao pdr (case study: national university of laos) / Phousith Phongsavath

Abstrak
This research is motivated by the outbreak of pandemics Covid-19 which is the impact to many countries and regions in the world in the term of economics instruction for students. By the way the economics education in Lao PDR particularly at the National University of Laos is indirectly impacted and is continuing lecture as normal classes (face to face) This study uses a qualitative approach which is the type of research is case study methodology. This type of case study research is used due to it is oriented to the topic of the fact of teaching-learning economics courses during the outbreak of pandemics Covid-19 of lecturers and learners in the Faculty of Economic and Business Management National University of Laos Lao PDR. The research was carried out from February to March 2021 and the informants of this study were the leader lecturer and learners of the Department of Economics Faculty of Economics and Business Management. The determination of this research subject with the Snowball Sampling technique and the data collection techniques with an in-depth interview and documentation. The data validity techniques have used the comparison between target informants and others of sources and methods The discovering results of this research tracked down that the outbreak of pandemics Covid-19 in Lao PDR is not a serious situation due to Lao authority can be control at the first by issuing many strict measures and the National University of Laos is only indirectly impacted by the pandemics Covid-19 but it is continuing lecture of students as normal classes (face to face) and non-interruption to resumed regular education after the extension of the yearly occasion during the Lao New Year in April 2020 However National University of Laos has firmly followed the issued order of Ministry of Education and Sports and the declaration from National Operation Center for Covid-19 (NOCC) committee. Based on the result of the study the outbreak of pandemics Covid-19 is indirectly impacted on economics instruction of students in the term of Lao government response plans to anti pandemic Covid-19 concentrated qualification the inspiration of lectures and learners. Apart from that the National University of Laos has been forced to follow the prevention of outbreaks as not negligent to awareness of this disease and always advertised in the classroom such as avoiding crowds providing basic prevention knowledge as hand sanitizer wear a masker etc. Future more online learning application it has been already approved instead for implementation of educating if the circumstance becomes a serious emergency for example Google Meet Zoom skype etc. it will be carried out rather at whatever point the circumstance is genuinely
