The correlation between students rsquo learning interest and learning motivation towards english learning outcomes during the covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia / Shofia Almafaza

Abstrak
The purpose of the study is to find out the correlation between students rsquo learning interests and learning motivation towards English learning outcomes during the Covid-19 Pandemic in Indonesia. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Banjarmasin and involved the 8th grade students in the second semester of the 2020/2021 academic year. The total population in the school was 366 students and the sample was 70 students who were selected using the purposive sampling technique. The research was quantitative descriptive in nature and used a correlational analysis with multiple correlation. The results of the study prove that there is a significant correlation between the students rsquo learning interests and learning motivation towards English learning outcomes.
