Abstrak
This article aims to discuss the reasons for the community to carry out the Ketupat and Serabi Salvation during the Covid-19 pandemic the process of implementing the Ketupat and Serabi Salvation and public opinion about the implementation of the Ketupat and Serabi Salvation. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The data analysis technique used in this research is an interactive analysis by Miles and Huberman where the researcher collects data reduces data and presents data. Ketupat and Serabi Salvation is a salvation that has been carried out from generation to generation when a deadly disease outbreak occurs based on the Book of Surkalam Nur Anbiya . The reason people do this is to resist the plague of the Covid-19 disease which caused many deaths. The process of implementing Ketupat and Serabi Salvation in Sidorenggo Village Ampelgading District Malang Regency consists of two groups of people praying individually and together in a prayer room or mosque. People who carry out this salvation are required to make seven serabi and ketupat each. Ketupat and serabi that have been prayed for are consumed by all family members so that they are given safety and health by God Almighty. Public opinion on the implementation of this salvation is a hereditary tradition belief custom and culture many people are sick and died in order to be given safety kept away from the Covid-19 disease outbreak and give charity. This salvation is a form of public trust in a certain tradition that has been carried out from generation to generation at the time of a deadly disease outbreak.
