Both of the teachers mentioned the same challenges of teaching seventh grade students which affected the character building attempt. The limited time caused the teachers to prefer focusing on the students rsquo academic competences and delivering materials more than character building. The absence of English subject in some elementary schools caused the lack of some students rsquo prior knowledge which affected their confidence and interests towards English. The zoning system also caused the students to be more various academically and behaviorally.
