Furthermore the results of this study indicate that all subjects used scientific approach in the learning process in their respective classroom. Additionally all teachers were also able to apply all the steps from the scientific approach in their learning process according to those stipulated in the 2013 Curriculum namely observing questioning experimenting associating and communicating. However some subjects were not able to apply all of the steps in one meeting. Furthermore the teachers also experienced several obstacles in implementing the scientific approach such as limited time allocation different abilities of the students and inadequate facilities especially the Internet text books and others. In conclusions the five junior high school teachers involved in this study use scientific approach in their teaching. However some obstacles were found in implementing several steps of the scientific approach such as the limited time allocation the various abilities of the students and inadequate facilities. The results of this study can be used as material for reflection and evaluation for the local government of Aru Island. Related to the policy for teachers in Aru to apply the 2013 curriculum in their classrooms particularly the scientific approach the government and policy makers have to pay attention to the specific condition of schools in that era. For instance the government could give better facility of Internet access for teachers to find teaching materials and sources. Next the government should also provide the teachers and students with special textbooks that match with the students rsquo ability. It is important to remember that the students rsquo ability in Aru cannot be compared with the national standard. Thus they need special treatment. Furthermore teachers should also be given more trainings workshops and seminars to be able to improve their teaching competence. More importantly the government should also allow teachers to experiment in their own teaching in order to match with their students rsquo ability and the condition of their classrooms.
