Furthermore this study was aimed to draw patterns regarding the stress and the determining aspects that the teachers employ to build and develop the sense of resilience in the face of challenging times. This descriptive qualitative study involved six English teachers who were from both state and private junior high schools in Malang. To meet the data required the participants were the candidates of English Teachers Olympiad (OGN) in 2018 and had more than 10 years of teaching experience. A semi-structured interview was employed in collecting the data. There were three parts of the interview. The first part would be composed of demographic information. Then it was followed by a set of interview items which were to elicite the sources of stress. In the last section the participants were asked about how they restrain the stressors and be resilient. The participants would also be given the chance to add their personal point of views before the interview ends. The findings reveal six major sources of stress that the participants came across in their entire teaching life. Related to the current situation pandemic was the first stressor mentioned. Lacking of students participation difficulty in supervising the students also finding the best and appropriate teaching methods hamper the process of e-learning. Challenges related to class management came after the pandemic. The learners rsquo s motivation decreased drastically due to incapability to access teaching platform limited internet quota as well as online video gaming. Third was fatigue manifestation in which teachers became tired easily thus resulting in falling asleep often or in the contrary experience trouble sleeping. Work-related stress served as the fourth stressor such as overburden workload extra piles of assignments and number of students. Moreover related to time management the participants frequently took the unfinished duty home and became impatient. Lastly curriculum and school administration contributed to the stress the partcipants dealth with. They argued that Curriculum 2013 was ineffective and they received insufficient support from the administrative staff. In spite of the aforesaid shortcomings the participants managed to behave resiliently. The significant factors of resilience they administered were having positive personality such as the love for the school and the students having a supportive colleagues and family that they can rely and talk to as well as institutional support which facilitates them to enhance their professional development. The patterns drawn in the study implied that teachers who had longer years of teaching career had enormously dealt with stress exposure resulting in the capability to maintain a sustainable sense of resilience. v In a nutshell teachers of junior high school are expected to utilize the participants rsquo ways to remain resilient or to deter the similar inconvenience from happening in the future. School administrative should provide adequate support for the teachers also take advantages of this study as a consideration to build and retain positive values among school members. The policy makers are suggested to facilitate the teachers with seminars and workshops related specifically to comprehending and implementing C-13. Finally for further researchers keen on conducting the study in this particular area can quatitatively advance the patterns drawn.
