Performance analysis of zakat-based empowerment to improve mustahik\'s welfare / Rina Maulidia

Abstrak
This study aims to analyze the performance of the empowerment program by Rumah Zakat by utilizing zakat funds in improving the welfare of mustahik. Mustahik s welfare can be measured using the fulfilment of material and spiritual needs as well as the mustahik s level of independence. This research is a quantitative study using a multi-stage weigh index estimation technique that functions to generate a zakat welfare index from each variable. The data used are primary primary data obtained from interviews and distributing questionnaires to beneficiaries of the Rumah Zakat economic program in Malang. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling which is intended to obtain data according to the research objectives. The results of this study are firstly it was found that the empowerment program using zakat funds was able to increase the welfare of mustahik from the material and spiritual side by 0.55. Based on the results of the analysis it has been found that there is a change in the condition of mustahik poverty according to the CIBEST quadrant. Second the zakat-based empowerment program is able to increase the level of independence of mustahik an index of 0.643 is obtained after mustahik joins the empowerment program. This index shows that 64.3% of mustahik have a permanent job or business and save after getting empowerment. Based on the research that has been done it can be concluded that zakat-based empowerment can improve the welfare of mustahik.
