Tenth graders perception of using mobile phones in learning english in online classes / Cintya Orba Ramadhani

Abstrak
This study investigates students perceptions of using mobile phones in learning English in online classes. Mobile phones are one of device that was helpfull for learning activities and practicing students English skills. Mobile phones are platform that allows software and services to run on devices such as Google and Youtube. Mobile phones help students to access surf and learn materials related to the English subject. The study used a survey method. The data was collected using an online survey with ninety samples of tenth graders in one high school in Pasuruan. The findings showed that students have a good understanding of online learning interested in learning English have a good perception of mobile phones and understand how to operate mobile phones for learning purposes. Furthermore mobile phone features help students improve their knowledge and help students in practicing their English skills. However students still need to eliminate distractions while using their mobile phones for enrichment such as texting with friends or browsing social media
