The effect of audio-visual media on eighth graders’ learning outcomes in english grammar / Noviachri Imroatul Sadiyah

Abstrak
Audio-visual media can be used as teaching variation and facilitate students to enjoy every learning process to improve students rsquo learning outcomes. Learning outcomes indicates students rsquo attitude in following the learning process. This research aims to analyze and describe the effect of audio-visual media on eighth graders rsquo learning outcomes in English grammar. This research applied a quasi-experiment approach and the data was gathered using a pretest and post-test. The population in this study was eighth-grade students with the samples in class VIII 1 as an experimental class and VIII 5 as the control class. The result shows that the average score of the control and experimental classes was 75 and 84.07. In the t-test tcount was 3.405 and the ttable 2.66 which shows that tcount gt ttable. Hence this research findings support that audio-visual media applies to creating an exciting learning atmosphere. It promotes the idea that students should be provided with the opportunity to use audio-visual media to enhance the learning process and increase their learning outcomes in English grammr.
