The correlation between student’s participation and student’s motivation toward student’s english achievement at SMA Negeri 4 Malang / Agithania Purmadhani

Abstrak
The purpose of this research was to ascertain the correlation between student rsquo s participation (X1) and student rsquo s motivation (X2) toward English achievement (Y) of twelfth Science 3 graders of SMA Negeri 4 Malang. The subject of this research was 32 students. The instrument to collect the data was a questionnare and student rsquo s achievement documentation. The analysis of the data using the formula of Azwar 2012 and the help of SPSS 23 version software. The result of the data analysis showed that the value of Fachievement is 3 470 and the value of Ftable at n 29 in the significance of error 0 05 is 3 33. It means that the value of Fachievement is higher than Ftable (Fachievement gt Ftable )) it means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This is showed that student rsquo s participation and student rsquo s motivation are the assumptive component as the role in increasing the student rsquo s English achievement.
