Pre-service teachers’ understanding of and opinion on the importance of teacher professional development / Atikah Wilda Inayah
Abstrak
The aim of this survey study is to collect information regarding pre-service teachers understanding and opinion on the importance of Teacher Professional Development. The data was acquired by 93 pre-service teachers at one of the state universities in Malang East Java who responded to a survey using a form adapted from Hunzicker s checklist (2010). The findings show that pre-service teachers have a good understanding of TPD. Pre-service teachers also consider that TPD is important for them to improve their teaching skills and develop their teaching abilities. Furthermore it has been demonstrated that pre-service teachers are proven to have a solid grasp of effective activities in TPD.
