The effectiveness of online blogging in improving writing skill of Senior High School Students / Andika Yudistira Purwanto
Abstrak
This study is aimed at investigating the effectiveness of online blogging in improving students rsquo writing skills especially in analytical exposition text. One group pre-test post-test pre-experimental design was used to identify the difference in students rsquo writing achievement before and after the writers applied the treatment. This study used writing tests as the instruments to collect the data from 21 senior high school students. Wilcoxon Signed Rank test was then used to find out whether there is significant difference in students rsquo writing before and after the treatment. The results show that students rsquo writing achievement improved after they did online blogging activities as there is a significant difference in the pre-test and post-test scores. Thus online blogging potentially improves students rsquo writing skills.
