Abstrak
This study investigates students rsquo perceptions regarding the impact of Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) especially the Teaching Campus (Kampus Mengajar/KM) and Teaching Assistance (Asistensi Mengajar/AM) programs on their pedagogical knowledge and skills. This study employed a survey design to obtain insights from 73 English Language Education students who have done KM and/or AM programs. All the participants filled in an online questionnaire and six of them were interviewed to dig further information about how KM and/or AM programs impact their pedagogical knowledge and skills. The findings indicated that the students demonstrated more positive than negative impacts in implementing the KM and/or AM programs on their Pedagogical Knowledge and Skills. Despite facing many challenges students rsquo pedagogical knowledge and skills are developed through their experiences in managing the classroom planning a lesson developing appropriate learning media and assisting teachers at school. However the finding also indicated that the participants rsquo mentor-teachers and parents impact the participants rsquo pedagogical knowledge and skills while participating in KM and/or AM programs. Future researchers are encouraged to measure students rsquo pedagogical knowledge and skills through observation or tests because this study only focuses on the student s perceptions.
