A study of sosiology of literature in Ernest Hemingway’s “hills like white elephants” / Citra Yung Tafaula
Abstrak
This paper aims to see the relation between the issue in the story and issue in the society. The sociological approach is mainly employed to analyze literary work concerning the authors life experiences as members of society. Literature generally describes a social construct of the people involved in it. This study analyzes the social issues in Ernest Hemingway rsquo s ldquo Hills Like White Elephants rdquo by using sociology of literature approach. The analysis of the short story is based on the society around Hemingway and the social aspects such as general facts social incidents and social communication in the short story. The result is the issue in the short story related to the issue in society and related until now.
