This study is aimed to analyze the hate speech on transgender that JK Rowling made in her tweets. JK Rowling has much influence by her profession as a writer and is very famous worldwide with large followers on the Twitter platform. The research employed the critical discourse analysis approach based on Foucault s theory that focuses on power and sexuality. The researcher found that JK Rowling s tweets have transphobic elements with the prejudice that transgender people are victims of misogyny and transgender behavior only hurt their patients. The prejudice exists as JK Rowling believes that transgender women exist because they are affected by male hatred for women and feel like stopping it.
