Reading habits and reading comprehension of English Department Students at Universitas Negeri Malang / Endah Mulia Wati
Abstrak
This study investigated the correlation between students reading habits and reading comprehension at the Department of English Faculty of Letters Universitas Negeri Malang. The research used a correlational research design and involved 65 students as the sample. The instruments employed to collect data were a questionnaire and a reading comprehension test. The result of the data analysis showed a positive coefficient correlation and the null hypothesis was rejected. The score interpreted that student who has better reading habits tend to have better reading comprehension. Therefore building good reading habits for students is recommended because it is significantly related to the improvement of students rsquo reading comprehension.
