Pre-service english teachers’attitudes towards online microteaching in Universitas Negeri Malang / Nanda Ayu Kusuma Wardani

Abstrak
This study aimed to discover the pre-service English teachers rsquo attitudes towards Microteaching class which was an elective and transdisciplinary course in English Language Education at Universitas Negeri Malang. This study involved the population of Class of 2018 ELT students as the pre-service teachers who had taken the microteaching class online. This course has four different classes and taught by two lecturers. There were 107 students and the sample were 30% of each class to represent using cluster random sampling so there were 33 participants of the total population. By using a questionnaire and an interview guide as the instruments this study revealed the pre-service teachers rsquo perception towards online microteaching class based on attitude behavioral and cognitive aspects. The pre-service English teachers rsquo attitude towards online microteaching resulted positive with consistent one-dimensional perspective. The common obstacles that influenced their positive attitude are the assignments about making lesson plan time management and editing video.
