Social diversity in \"wonderwall\" by oasis / Jilan Fajar Ramadhan
Abstrak
Humans are social creatures that build Social Diversity a factual condition inherent in society. It implies that society is not only a collection of individuals living in an area for generations but also creates social values and rules that guide the community members in how to behave behave and have social relationships. This research uses the qualitative method by analyzing the selected song ldquo Wonderwall rdquo by Oasis released in (1995). This study aimed to examine the aspect of social diversity in the music Wonderwall and analyze the messages behind the lyrics and how the song related to social variety. This research shows the meaning of social diversity in society and language function can be a sociolinguistic problem from the speaker listener topic code and statement. The intent about social issues eventually transforms into critical lyrics about having money and the benefits of increased popularity and wealth. That s what makes the spread of the music industry in England have great strength. But how hard the music was going into the recent chart of England kind of music and still appears as the music that makes people like for those entire years. The conveyance of political messages through music forms a ritualistic bond between members of the group whether black or white. These critics have always been concerned about music rsquo s potential mind-altering and behaviour-changing powers. ldquo Wonderwall rdquo is a study on the social diversity theme combined and related to the Goffman theory. It is the idea of Goffman (1964) in a situational qualification in which Wonderwall contributes to various social aspects mdash using social diversity and existing factors were also adjusted and explained by focusing on the 90s.
