The correlation between efl students\' organizational performances and their speaking proficiency / M. Faisal Afif Zawawi
Abstrak
University students and organization are two things that cannot be separated from campus life. There are also many assumptions and statements that mention about the correlation between students academic achievement and their organizational performance. Based on the theory this study was employed to reveal if there is relationship between EFL students rsquo organizational performance and their Speaking proficiency. This study used quantitave correlational design. The sample used in this study were 90 EFL students of Universitas Negeri Malang. To collect the data this study used online questionnaire which consists of 25 items as organizational performance parameter and scores of 2 compulsory Speaking courses as students rsquo representation of their Speaking proficiency. The data then statistically calculated and analyzed manually and using SPSS 26 software. The study output showed that there is no significant correlation between the students rsquo organizational performance and their Speaking proficiency. Additionally this study also showed that the participants rsquo Organizational performance are generally moderate and their speaking performance are generally high. According to the findings the writer hopes that studies in the future will improve with more credible instruments and expand the participants of the study so that the output will be more representative.
