Pengaruh materialism terhadap perilaku compulsive buying melalui money attitude / Ahmad Rizal Aulia Ramadhan

Abstrak
This study aims to determine the effect of materialism on compulsive buying behavior through money attitudes. The research subjects are young consumers of fashion and lifestyle products at Shopee. The purposive sampling technique yielded 169 respondents for the research sample. This research is descriptive-explanatory and the method of collecting data is through the distribution of questionnaires to respondents. The analytical technique is an inferential statistical analysis of PLS (partial least squares) assisted by the WarpPLS 7.0 tool. The study s results found that there was a direct effect of materialism and money attitudes on compulsive buying that positively affected young consumers of fashion and lifestyle products at Shopee. In addition it is known that materialism s money attitude has a positive and significant direct effect. And there is an indirect effect of materialism on compulsive buying through a money attitude in a positive and significant way. This means that if the level of materialism possessed by young consumers is high it will affect the individual s money attitude and compulsive buying behavior will follow along with the high money attitude.
