Students’ responses on the use of guided-question technique for developing recount paragraph writing ability / Pramudita Kumuda Wardani
Abstrak
This survey research aimed to identify the students rsquo responses on the use of guided- questions technique to develop recount paragraph writing conducted at SMPN 2 Sedati. The respondents were 93 eighth graders by random sampling. The instrument used in this research was a questionnaire that consisted of 15 closed-ended questions and 2 open-ended questions. The result showed that 93% of the students who agreed that using guided-question technique could improve students rsquo capability in writing a recount paragraph. There were 89% of the students who agreed that using guided-question technique could make the students feel satisfied motivated confident interested more focused and passionate when writing a recount paragraph. There were 92% of the students who agreed that they got benefits when using guided-question technique in writing a recount paragraph. It can be concluded that the students had positive responses on the use of guided-question technique to develop recount paragraph writing ability.
