An analysis of ELE students\' speech error production and their reflection on language learning / Sintaloka Trya Dewanti

Abstrak
This study investigates whether students have high speech errors in their spoken production due to they will be future teachers. This study was conducted on 41 students from 2 classes class D and E in the 2nd semester of the English Department Universitas Negeri Malang. This study suggests group discussion practical activities oral presentation and memorizing vocabulary behavior since the first semester can be developed for students on speech errors. Subsequently it also aids the lecturer to design performance management during classroom learning activities that support improving students speaking skills. The study focuses on the learning method for the future education of ELE (English Language Education) students at the University level. The classroom management activity concentrates on students rsquo reflection. The result provides how the learning method should improve students rsquo speaking skill on speech errors and their suggestions for future learning methods based on their reflection. This study used the SpeechTexter website to script the audio record due to the higher sensitivity of the recorder to catch the word than the other website or application. Also this study addresses the need to investigate based on students rsquo reflections to gain the accurate need to improve students rsquo speaking skill and reach quality learning activities.
