How the bloom’s taxonomy is reflected on the exercises in the year-10 english textbook of curriculum 2013 / Istiqomah
Abstrak
Textbook evaluated is necessary done in order to find out whether a textbook is suitable or not in assisting certain subject. In this study the researcher analysed and investigated the exercises in the year of-10 English textbook that is officially released by the government. In this study the researcher applied content analysis in descriptive qualitative design. The objective of this study is to analyse how the exercises in the year-10 English textbook of curriculum 2013 reflect Bloom rsquo s Taxonomy and to find out the whether the exercises of four language skills in the year-10 English textbook of curriculum 2013 emphasize HOTS or LOTS. The data analysis is taken from the exercises in the textbook as the data collection. The data further analysed based on the thinking level as stated in Bloom rsquo s Taxonomy. The findings revealed the exercises in the year-10 English textbook emphasize higher thinking level that can lead the students to develop their critical thinking. Furthermore this book meets the requirement of being an ideal book for senior high school students
