Students\' perception toward socio-educational motivational in listening activity using music videos from Youtube in classroom / Lylyan Paonganan

Abstrak
This research investigates students perception of socio-educational motivation in listening activities in the classroom by using music videos from YouTube. The research design employed was a survey design. The sample of the study is twelfth graders of students at one of School in Berau. It consisted of 35 students from XII IPA 1 as the sample. Online questionnaires and interviews were used as the instruments for the data collection. SPSS statistic 25 was used for analyzing the data. The result showed that students thought they were more motivated by listening to music videos on YouTube. Most of the students gave positive perceptions toward three concepts of socio-educational in learning English integrativeness attitude toward the learning process and instrumental orientation. It showed that the music videos the teacher used for listening activities were exciting and helped students to learn English.
