The effect of split squat jump exercise on lingkar dalam kick speed of tarung derajat athletes throughout greater Malang / Mochammad Alfan Taufiqi
Abstrak
The aim of this study is that to analyze the effect of the split squat jump exercise on the speed of lingkar dalam kick of tarung derajat athletes throughout Greater Malang. This study was a pre-experimental research. The independent variable consisted of split squat jump exercises while the dependent variable was the speed of lingkar dalam kick in beladiri tarung derajat. Furthermore the populations of this study were 30 tarung derajat athletes throughout Greater Malang. The research sample consisted of 11 male athletes by using purposive sampling technique. After the pretest was conducted the samples were given 18 exercises with an exercise frequency of 3 times per week. Moreover the research instrument was lingkar dalam kick speed test by using a petching pad and a stopwatch. Meanwhile Paired Sample T-Test was used in order to analyze data with a significance level of 5%. Based on data analysis it is known that the kick sample by using the right foot with the split squat jump exercise has a significant effect on increasing the speed of lingkar dalam kick the significance calculated value is 0.021 (P lt 0.05). However the kick sample by using the left foot with the split squat jump exercise has no significant calculated value for increasing the speed of lingkar dalam kick the calculated significance is 0.078 (p gt 0.05). In general it is concluded that the split squat jump exercise which is conducted for 8 weeks with a frequency of 3x/week has a positive impact on increasing the speed of the lingkar dalam kick by 17.73% on the right leg and 17.50% on the left leg. However since almost all athletes have right-side body dominance which results in a lack of ability to kick on the left foot so that the results on the left foot kick is not significant.
