Panel data regression method for the identification of foreign exchange reserves, foreign debt, and trade openness that support the 2030 asean economis targets / Dion Febri Setiawan
Abstrak
ASEAN has a target to become the fourth-largest economic region in 2030. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence ASEAN s economic growth to achieve this target. The data used is ASEAN-7 data for the 2014-2021 period using the panel data regression method. The results are that foreign debt has a significant negative effect and trade openness has a significant positive effect on economic growth. On the other hand foreign exchange reserves do not affect ASEAN s economic growth. In conclusion the variable foreign debt and trade openness can be a policy tool to achieve ASEAN s economic targets conversely foreign exchange reserves which do not matter play an essential role in maintaining financial stability so that ASEAN s economic growth target can be achieved.
