Some instruments used were interview guides expert validation sheets and questionnaires. According to the needs analysis at SMPK Mater Dei Probolinggo on 8 students based on the teacher rsquo s recommendation involved two high achievers four mediocre and two low achievers the students required a fun quick-response instant accessible anytime and anywhere and digitally-based learning media. ESTER Chatbot was developed as a website link. Based on the experts rsquo validation the ESTER Chatbot was Very Good (97%) in the media aspect (display and appearance clarity and the effectiveness criteria) and Very Good (98%) for the material aspect (learning content clarity and the effectiveness criteria). In a small-scale tryout the result was also Very Good (90 23%). This indicated that ESTER Chatbot was feasible to be used as an autonomous learning medium in material media and utilization aspects. This research was expected to help students learn narrative texts provide teachers with new digital media and give a reference for future researchers to develop digital learning media.
