Development of interactive learning media based on articulate storyline 3 on procedure text at a vocational high school / Kholifani Utami

Abstrak
Technological development affects aspects of education that impact learning activities. In English subjects at Vocational High Schools (VHS) there is still rarely interactive learning media use that is specifically developed to enhance students rsquo reading skills. With the use of learning management systems (LMS) an interactive learning media developed based on Articulate Storyline 3 (AS3) is a viable learning resources that can be used as enrichment material to support independent learning. The purpose of this research is to develop AS3 based-learning media for grade XI of Multimedia program which is developed by considering their needs and interest. The background of this study is based on the need analysis of interactive media in the Multimedia program of State Vocational High School 12 Malang which is equal to 100% of teachers and students stating that they have not used interactive learning media in the English classroom and they need interactive media in the learning process. A research and development method was used to conduct this research. It began with a need analysis followed by design and development formative evaluation and product try-out. The result of producing interactive learning media is a Scorm package that can be added to the school s Learning Management System (LMS) such as Moodle and accessible by students wherever they are whenever they want using a laptop or smartphone.
