The use of caption in instagram posting to improve writing skill / Navila Zamzam Agustin

Abstrak
With the improvement of technology this research will explain the use of captions in Instagram to improve the students rsquo writing skill especially in writing recount text. This research was implemented in SMPN 1 Tegaldlimo since based on the preliminary study that the researcher did by interviewing the teacher the students of grade 8 still cannot write a proper text in English. Therefore to improve the students rsquo writing skill this research will use Classroom Action Research with the use of field notes tests and questionnaires as the research instruments. The students rsquo writing skills in recount text are improving within two cycles and it shows that in the first cycle the students who pass the standard minimum of completeness are 35% and in the second cycle there are 75% of them that passed. Thus with the support of the result of the questionnaire about the students rsquo satisfaction by using caption in Instagram posting this research succeeded in improving the students rsquo writing skill.
