Designing daboca: an audio-visual integrated vocabulary learning medium for elementary school students to learn vocabulary / Sigit Riyadi
Abstrak
This research aims to create a digital and non-digital English vocabulary learning media that is still unavailable in a state elementary school in Pati Regency. This research design used Research and Development using the ADDIE procedure model (Analysis Design Development Implementation and Evaluation). Some instruments were a needs analysis questionnaire media expert and student validation sheets and student perceptions. Needs analysis was carried out on all fourth-grade students and showed that students need fun learning media regarding material regarding activities (82.14%) numbers (85.71%) things in the living room and bedroom (85.71%) and things in the bathroom and kitchen (85.71%). Daboca was developed as a media based on dartboards cards and dice. Based on expert validation Daboca was in the Very Good/Excellent category (92.96%). Based on student validation carried out on all students in fourth grade showed the Very Good/Excellent category (86.16%). The student perception questionnaire showed positive student responses (87.50%). The implementation stage showed positive results in increasing students vocabulary mastery with an average score of 94.28%. This research was expected to help students learn English vocabulary in a fun way and provide references for future researchers to develop learning media that combines digital and non-digital.
