The use of expressive act on luis’ storytelling in the movie of ant-man and the wasp / Husain Aly Yahya
Abstrak
This study investigates the use of expressive acts by Luis rsquo storytelling in the movie of Ant-Man and the Wasp through the lens of Searle rsquo s Speech Act Theory. The primary objective is to understand how Luis employs expressive language to communicate emotions attitudes and personal experiences and its contribution to the overall narrative of the movie. The research generates valuable insights into the significance of expressive speeches in cinematic storytelling their influence on audience engagement and their role in character portrayal. The study employs qualitative research methods to identify and analyze types of expressive speech acts that used by Luis including blaming naming promising emotion enthusiasm frustration and apologizing. By doing so it sheds light on the character rsquo s background and cultural identity and how these expressive acts function as a narrative device to enrich the cinematic experience. Furthermore the analysis references relevant with the theories and research to emphasize the expressive speech acts in storytelling and character development based on the movie.
