An experience using english movie as an english speaking learning platform: a narrative inquiry / Muhammad Aliffachry Daffa
Abstrak
In this century movies have become a very influential medium more than any other media. When utilized for educational purposes movies emerge as a potent tool for language acquisition displayed by the case of English-language movies. Using the assistance of the narrative inquiry method this current research explores how English-language movie could serve as a medium for learning the English language. This narrative inquiry concentrated on the in-depth experience of using English movies as a learning platform for spoken English. Through personal experiences and observations this study investigated the story of an individual s comprehensive journey and his experience of using English movie. To gather the comprehensive data required interview was conducted. The data collection lasted over three weeks involving one meeting per week. Through the participant s narrative this research discovers the potential advantages and challenges of incorporating English movies into language learning. This research also provides insights into how the medium of movies can benefit educators and English learners.
