Development of virtual geotour geography learning media on tectonism material for grade x high school / Nur Kholifatun Nisa\'
Abstrak
Based on a needs analysis at high schools geography learning in the independent curriculum emphasizes the mastery of students cognitive abilities. However the complexity and abstraction of the material particularly tectonism often pose challenges to students comprehension due to difficult-to-understand verbalism terms and limited field observations. This research aims to develop a digital-based Virtual Tour learning media accessible through a website. The media is equipped with relevant information to assist students in understanding the tectonism process. Additionally it provides a more tangible interpretation of geography material. The development method utilizes the Borg and Gall model through a modification stage by Sugiyono with 10 phases. Research results indicate that the Virtual Geotour Tectonism obtains high validation both in terms of media (92%) and material (75.71%) with positive responses from teachers (96%) and students (87%). This highlights the considerable interest from both teachers and students regarding the importance of developing this learning media to enhance students understanding of geography material. Furthermore this media offers easier accessibility for students enabling them to learn independently through their laptops or mobile phones.
