The little girl\'s coping strategy of death in william wordsworth\'s \"we are seven\" / Fiza Ishlahiyya Churaez
Abstrak
This study presents a formalist analysis of William Wordsworth rsquo s poem entitled ldquo We Are Seven rdquo investigating into the deeper themes of life and death through the perspective of an innocent young girl the main character in this poem who is dealing with the loss of her dear siblings. By meticulously examining the poem rsquo s language structure and literary devices this analysis shows the little girl rsquo s unique coping mechanisms and her unbreakable emotional bond with her deceased siblings. The study emphasizes her strategies for dealing with the reality of death through the role of memory her creativity to fill her spare time and a sense of belonging in overcoming the loss. The research also highlights the use of figures of speech such as metaphor hyperbole euphemism and repetition which collectively enrich the reader rsquo s understanding of innocence grief and the enduring connections beyond the mortality. By placing this poem within the broader context of previous literary studies this analysis uncovers the deeper symbolic meanings of loss and acceptance offering insights that hopefully resonate across generations through Wordsworth rsquo s masterpiece.
