Attitudes toward writing in english among year-7 students of smp negeri 1 dau / Fadella Mahitarani

Abstrak
The current study explores the EFL junior high school students rsquo attitude toward writing in English. This journal used descriptive case study as a research design with a qualitative approach to answer the research question What are the attitudes of year-7 students of SMP Negeri 1 Dau toward writing in English There were 60 students participating in the study. The data was collected using a questionnaire and an interview. The questionnaire adapted for this study gathered data on four aspects of attitudes cognitive affective conative and factors affecting attitude. This was followed by conducting intervies to further explore these aspects. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive by applying percentage calculations. The finding revealed that EFL junior high school students had showed that majority respondents had positive attitudes writing in English. It can be concluded by using the number of percentage and the interview result. Therefore this current study suggest that researchers need to research the attitude of students in other English skills.
