An analysis of ian lightfoot\'s character development in onward movie (2020) / Tyas Lazuardy Utami Dewi

Abstrak
Onward a film directed by Dan Scanlon that released in 2020 is about the adventure of Ian Lightfoot and Barley as they try to meet their deceased father for one day. One of the important elements in a movie is character because character depicted as a duplicate of people in real life. Therefore the main focus of this analysis is Ian Lightfoot as the main character in Onward movie because he is the central figure of the story. Through the events and challenges on his adventure Ian s character undergoes significant development revealing his true courage and potential. This study uses character development theory by Elizabeth Hurlock (1972) to analyze the factors and important moments influencing Ian Lightfoot rsquo s character development. The findings indicate that emotions social and family are the key factors that influence Ian Lightfoot rsquo s character development.
