Using game-based learning websites as supplementary materials to enrich the fifth graders’ vocabulary: a classroom action research / Shafa Ingga Pristiari
Abstrak
The research was conducted to find out to what extent game-based learning websites can be used as supplementary materials to improve fifth grader rsquo s vocabulary. The researcher conducted classroom action research at one of the public elementary schools in Malang Regency with a total of 16 students. The results of the study show that game-based learning websites can improve the vocabulary mastery of the fifth graders in one cycle. After implementing the strategy for around six consecutive days all students had a minimum n-gain at the medium-g level and more than 50% of students successfully categorized their n-gain at the high g-level. From these results it can be seen that the two criteria of success that were already predetermined were successfully met in the first cycle.
