Video games and young people have become part of mutualism that has received more improvement over the past few decades one of which is the use of localization to help better understand the players of the game. Localization benefits the game by catering to specific groups of players and creating a familiar atmosphere to resonate with the players. In 2020 the video game Genshin Impact brought a change to its Indonesian localization to be more familiar to the young players that became their main audience. The Indonesian localization heavily uses youth slang to reflect how the Indonesian youth speak creating familiar feelings for the player to relate. To analyze this this study will use qualitative methods and comparative instruments to observe transcription data of both the Indonesian and English languages in the game. The findings will be then categorized to find the features of the youth language present in the Indonesian localization. Furthermore several Interviews will be conducted with the players who met the criteria of young people to display the researcher s statement about Genshin rsquo s Indonesian Language bringing a sense of belonging to the players of the game
