Abstrak
Enhancing Reading Comprehension Skills through Modified Jigsaw II Technique Reading is a crucial English language skill especially in countries like Indonesia where English is key to science technology and research. The Merdeka curriculum highlights the importance of reading with examinations focusing on this skill. The Modified Jigsaw II technique adapted from Jigsaw II is used to teach students how to read effectively by forming home and expert groups. A classroom action research project involving 22 students in Jember East Java found that this technique improved reading comprehension critical thinking and communication skills. The students exercise scores and active participation notably improved indicating the technique s effectiveness in enhancing literal and inferential comprehension skills.
