Abstrak
The use of technology in the current era of globalization has become an important part of several sectors including the education sector. Technology development requires that teachers as learning facilitators become more technologically savvy. The development of technology can be used as a language-learning tool. The use of technology and the internet in education can be seen from the spread of the Covid-19 virus which requires students to learn online. The purpose of this research is to examine the students perceptions of online language instruction during the Covid-19 Pandemic. This study uses a survey method with 205 state junior high school students from grades 7 to grades 9 in Pasuruan Regency as respondents. Research data were collected by Google Forms. The results of the study showed that most students in Pasuruan Regency were able to face challenges when learning online well. 73% of the students also had good experiences when carrying out online learning although there were some students who have difficulties dealing with online learning. The student environment for learning is one of the aspects that impact students during the online learning process.
