Development of math-app media (gamification-based one variable linear equation learning media to support differentiated learning) / Sinta Agustin Ningseh
Abstrak
Linear Equations in One Variable (PLSV) are fundamental for junior high school students. However unengaging learning processes and limited tools often reduce students interest in learning. To address this the MATH-APP (Mathematics Application) was developed as a gamification-based learning media designed to support differentiated learning by accommodating students learning styles through content differentiation. This study aims to describe the MATH-APP media development process as a gamification-based Linear Equation of One Variable (PLSV) learning media to support valid practical and effective differentiated learning. This research method uses the ADDIE development model. The results showed that at the analysis stage needs and problems were identified through questionnaires learning style tests and teacher interviews. Furthermore the design stage involved creating learning objectives scenarios media designs content and instruments based on the analysis. At the development stage the initial design was realized into a product validated by experts yielding scores of 3.85 (media experts) 3.55 (material experts) 3.75 (teaching modules) and 4.0 (observation sheets). The implementation stage MATH-APP media and other instruments were implemented and obtained a score of 3.36 student response questionnaires and 3 teacher response questionnaires which showed that both were practical and the percentage of effectiveness was 90.32% which showed that the media was effective. In the final stage of the evaluation further analysis was conducted in the form of comments and suggestions from students and teachers. Based on this description it can be concluded that MATH-APP media is valid practical and effective for use in learning.
