Pengaruh persepsi siswa laki-laki kelas xi terhadap minat belajar seni tari di SMAN 1 Kencong / Caroline Fitri Nanda Putri

Abstrak
Dance learning serves as a means for students to express themselves through movement. but in reality the level of enthusiasm among male students towards learning dance is relatively low. One of the causes is the existence of negative perceptions or views towards dance education which affects the interest of class XI male students at SMAN 1 Kencong in studying dance. This study aims to analyse the influence of male students perceptions on their interest in learning dance. This research was conducted using a quantitative regression analysis approach involving 126 students of class XI SMAN 1 Kencong.. Data were collected through questionnaires which have been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis in this study applied normality test linearity test and simple linear regression test. The research results show that male students perceptions significantly influence the interest in learning dance art of male students of class XI SMAN 1 Kencong with a positive direction of influence. The learning interest of male students in dance art is often influenced by negative perceptions. Many male students assume that dance learning particularly practical lessons are more suitable for female students. Consequently students feel that dancing will be perceived as overly feminine and incompatible with masculine identity hindering their interest in learning dance.
