Abstrak
The Genially-based game-based learning model is a model that integrates games with Genially media to create interactive and interesting learning. The urgency of this study is to observe the effectiveness of the Genially-assisted GBL model on critical thinking skills in geography subjects. The purpose of this study was to measure the effect of the Genially-assisted GBL model on students critical thinking skills in geography lessons in high school. This research method uses a quantitative quasi-experiment. The subjects of the study were 4 classes with 2 classes as samples XI ndash 7 as the control class and XI ndash 8 as the experimental class. Data were collected using tests documentation and observations. Data were analyzed using the N-Gain test normality test homogeneity test and hypothesis testing through independent sample t-test. The results of the experiment showed that the Genially-assisted GBL model was effective in Geography learning because the average posttest score of the control class was lower (60.37) than the experimental class (81.87). The results of the hypothesis showed Sig. 0.000 lt 0.05 which means that GBL assisted by Genially has an influence on critical thinking skills. This is evidence that the Genially assisted game-based learning model is able to improve students critical thinking skills in Geography Lessons.
