EFL teachers’ perceptions on the use of Lumi Education website in English teaching / Ristiar Khafshoh Veliasari
Abstrak
Lumi Education website is a platform that provides content types and features that support teachers and students. Several earlier studies on the use of Lumi Education website were mostly related to science and have not covered teachers perceptions. This study aims to explore English teachers perceptions towards the use of the Lumi Education website in teaching and learning activities. It used a qualitative approach and a descriptive study design to explore English teachers perceptions towards the use of the Lumi Education website in teaching and learning activities. Data were collected using an open-ended interview with the teachers. This study found that 4 teachers show positive perceptions on the use of Lumi Education as they mentioned that the website is helpful efficient user-friendly and aligned with the emancipated curriculum. In addition they also stated that the website can enhance students learning outcomes even though there are still some challenges especially dealing with the internet connection. Future researchers are recommended to discover the effectiveness of Lumi Education in English language learning and English teaching by conduct a quantitative research or qualitative research focusing on students rsquo perception.
