Efl students’ perception of using duolingo to enhance listening skills / Bimo Sekti Chandra Puspa
Abstrak
The study investigates EFL students rsquo perception regarding the use of Duolingo as a supporting tool for improving their listening skills. The research took place at the public university in Malang in Indonesia and is based on a quantitative descriptive approach to explain how Duolingo impacts the listening proficiency of students in the EFL context. In summary flexibility in Duolingo supports students in developing English skills at any time and place. The study showed that the students believe Duolingo is fun and easy to use hence helping them stay motivated and interested in learning. Furthermore the students improve their listening skills through this application thereby helping them narrate communicate effectively and converse well. Generally EFL students view Duolingo as a helpful tool in improving their listening skills in English.
