The effectiveness of role play on students’ vocabulary in bilingual canteen / Hanindria Haura Dzikra Fitranti
Abstrak
The main objectives and focus of this research are to test the treatment by examining the use of role play method applied in bilingual canteen and observed the result whether it has the potential to cause a change or not by observed the pre-test and post-test score. This research was conducted at an Islamic Boarding School in Malang using twenty-four female students as the focus of the researcher investigation. This research applied a pre-experimental research design by implementing one group pre-test and post-test without involving any control group. The problem in this research is stated in as a research question lsquo Can the use of role play in students daily activities improve students vocabulary acquisition rsquo . The data collected in this research were analyzed through SPSS 25. According to the research findings it was proven that the significance two-sided is lt 0.001 which is lower than ( alpha ) 0.05 (0.000 lt 0.05). This means that the H0 (Null Hypothesis) is rejected while the H1 (Alternative Hypothesis) cannot be rejected as there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results which also means that the use of role play method applied in bilingual canteen is effective to help students enhance their vocabulary mastery.
