Esl students’ perception of the use deepl translator tools on writing performance and process in Aqobah International School (AIS) Islamic Boarding School / Frisca Lutfi Nurul Jannah
Abstrak
Abstract The study aimed to explore ESL students rsquo perception of the use of DeepL translator tools on writing performance and process. The study conducted at Aqobah International School (AIS) Islamic Boarding School Jombang East Java Indonesia employed the qualitative case study design. Nineteen students of Junior High School seventh and eighth grade participated in this study. This research was obtained through a questionnaire and followed by a structured interview to collect the data. Findings indicated that Aqobah International School (AIS) Islamic Boarding School students had a positive perception on the use DeepL translation tool s and affected their writing process and performance. Therefore it is suggested for that ESL students to use DeepL Translator to assist in the English writing process and performance with appropriate guidance from the English teachers.
