Abstrak
This research investigates the impact of the Index Card Matching (ICM) strategy on student learning outcomes particularly in enhancing listening comprehension. Therefore the purpose of this research was to determine whether there was a significant difference in listening comprehension results between students taught using the Index Card Matching (ICM) strategy and those taught using conventional methods. The research employs a quantitative approach utilizing a quasi-experimental design involving a non-equivalent control group. Participants included grade X students from a senior high school in Malang City who were selected through convenience sampling. The experimental group received specialized treatment using the ICM strategy while the control group followed standard teaching methods. Hypothesis testing was conducted using an Independent Samples T-Test via SPSS. The findings indicate a significant difference in listening comprehension outcomes with a p-value of 0.001 leading to rejecting the null hypothesis. This suggests that the ICM strategy significantly enhances students listening comprehension contributing to improved educational quality and increased student participation.
