Development of google sites E-Module based on problem based learning on respiratory system material to improve critical thinking skills of junior high school students / Qoshirotul Fitri
Abstrak
Critical thinking skills are very important for students but junior high school students still show very low levels of critical thinking skills. Thus the goal this study aims to develop a PBL-based Google Sites e-module on the respiratory system that is valid practical and effective in enhancing critical thinking skills. The development method made use of the ADDIE model consisting of analyzing designing developing implementing and evaluating. Data collection utilized questionnaires and tests explored through a qualitative descriptive approach to assess validity practicality and effectiveness. According to the validation results the material was categorized as highly valid with an average score of 84.89% and the media created as valid with an average score of 79.47%. Based on teacher and student assessments the media was very practical with a score of 94.68% for teachers and 92.71% for students. Its efficacy was validated by the results of independent sample t-tests which indicates a difference in critical thinking scores between the experimental and control classes after implementing this learning media. Additionally The average value of 0.67 from the N-Gain analysis shows a moderate increase in experiment class. Therefore this study concludes that the e-module created is valid practical and effective in improving the critical thinking skills of junior high school students.
