The effect of learning experience based on youtube tutorial videos and motivation to improve autocad drawing competence / Erli Rahayu
Abstrak
The ability to draw technical diagrams using AutoCAD is an essential competency for students majoring in Building Modeling and Information Design (DPIB) at Vocational High Schools (SMK) particularly in meeting the demands of the workforce in the era of industrial digitalization. However challenges such as limited practical facilities and low student motivation have hindered the optimal achievement of these competencies. This study examines the influence of YouTube tutorial-based learning experiences and learning motivation on AutoCAD drawing competencies. The study employed a quantitative approach with an ex post facto design. The sample consisted of 30 Grade XI DPIB students from SMK Negeri 11 Malang selected through saturated sampling. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires for the learning experience and motivation variables and documentation of AutoCAD practical scores for the drawing competency variable. Regression analysis results indicated that learning experience through video tutorials and learning motivation significantly influenced students AutoCAD drawing competency partially and simultaneously. The coefficient of determination (R sup2 ) of 0.866 indicates that the two variables can explain 86.6% of the variation in drawing competence. These findings recommend using digital video media and motivation-enhancing strategies as practical alternative learning approaches to improve technical skills among vocational high school students.
